Summary and Comment: The Autopsy Report states:

Cause of death: Gunshot wound of left chest, inhalation of smoke and carbon monoxide due to fire
Advanced decomposition.

II. The FBI's October 8, 1993 Report to the Deputy Attorney General on the Events at Waco, Texas (cached)

Summary and Comment: The DOJ Report states:

Identified Branch Davidians From April 19 Fire … Joseph Martinez died of smoke and carbon monoxide inhalation. His body was found inside the bunker. His body was identified from dental records. He was 8 years old.

III. The July 14, 1994

Summary and Comment: The Inquest Certificate states:

Cause of death: Suffocation due to overlay and structural collapse.

This cause of death does not agree with the other two reports, wherein "suffocation" and "structural collapse" are not mentioned.
