Waco Still Burns

4 July 2023:   More than thirty (30) years have passed since more than 80 men, women, and children — all innocent before the law — were killed by United States paramilitary forces.  (Counting the four Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms victims, the Waco Holocaust produced 89 autopsies.)  The civilian victims were members of the Branch Davidian religious community and met their deaths without due process of law — at the hands of a government that was designed to ensure due process of law.

The events happened more than a generation ago, and modern sources contain only a distorted shadow of those 51 days of horror.  Anyone not familiar with the story should read Brief History.

Not one person responsible for the deaths has been indicted.  Waco Still Burns.

"All warfare is based on deception," wrote the Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu.  And so the war goes on: government agencies and their apologists continue to deceive us about the deaths of more than 80 innocents.

Deep State?

Melissa Morrison when she was alive. After her "rescue" by the FBI, only her lower extremities were found. Her head, arms, and torso were missing (Mt. Carmel Doe 74). The manner of her death was not determined. (Photo: U.S.News and World Report, May 3, 1993 pg. 23)

Is there such a thing as the "deep state" — a permanent stratum that controls government policy and remains entrenched despite changes in nominal leaders?

The Waco Holocaust was carried out under the Clinton administration.  Since then, the Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations have done nothing to bring the killers to justice.  This phenomenon argues that the "deep state" certainly exists.

Robert Mueller held the office of the Director of the FBI from September 4, 2001, to September 4, 2013.  On his way to the Senate hearing confirming his appointment, he was personally informed (by this writer) of the circumstances of death of the Branch Davidians with the story of our meeting.  Even if he had not been so informed, he surely had heard of the Waco siege.  As an attorney, he surely had heard of due process and the Bill of Rights.

According to The Dallas Morning News, the FBI entertained various suggestions for terminating the Branch Davidian debacle. (The Dallas Morning News, April 15, 1993, "No easy answers: Law authorities puzzle over methods to end Branch Davidian siege")

Yet, aware of the FBI's fingerprints all over the Davidian cadavers, Mueller did nothing to bring the killers to justice.  What kind of religious bigotry demands prosecution for the deaths of Jews, but covers up the deaths of Branch Davidians?

Notably, Mueller's official term as FBI Director began just days before September 11, 2001.  The attack on the Pentagon, we are told, was "an act of war."  Yet Mueller, as Director of the FBI (a civilian agency), was given absolute control over the grounds of the Pentagon and the debris, including the classified materials disgorged from the ruined offices.

Though the Deep State no doubt had additional purposes, the Waco Holocaust seems to have been a demonstration project.  It was the Deep State's announcement to Americans and the world that it could do anything to anyone and would never be held accountable.  No congress, no judiciary, no media, and no public conscience would interfere with its dreadful designs.

Why the Branch Davidians?

And why the Branch Davidians?  David Koresh's theology was controversial: He believed that we are living in Apocalyptic times and that the existence of Israel was not necessary for the return of Christ.  His birth name was Vernon Wayne Howell, but he changed his name legally to David Koresh to agree with his role (as he believed) in the Biblical Saga.  Koresh is the transliterated Hebrew name (כורש) of the Persian king who released the Jews from the Babylonian Captivity, chronicled in the Book of Ezra.  The name usually appears in English Bibles as Cyrus.  David is the name of the great Hebrew king from the tribe of Judah, an ancestor of Jesus.

Survivor Stories

Discretion is advised when considering the testimony of Davidian survivors.  According to government records released contemporaneously with the Waco Holocaust (Report of the Department of the Treasury on … Koresh), deep-cover government agents were living among the Davidians pretending to be Davidians.  Those agents may be among the "Davidian survivors."

The Waco Holocaust was a military/intelligence operation.  Ostensibly organized under the Department of Treasury, the designers called it "Operation Trojan Horse."  The Trojan Horse, of course, was the mechanism the ancient Greeks used to smuggle saboteurs into the City of Troy.  In like manner, those who designed the Trojan Horse attack on the Branch Davidians planted undercover agents in the Mt. Carmel Center, agents who pretended to be followers of David Koresh.  (More ...)

The Dead Can Speak
And the Waco Holocaust Electronic Museum gives them a forum

Since ancient times, inquiries into questionable deaths have started with the bodies of the victims. It is notable that the government and its apologists never honestly address the autopsies of the victims. This we do at the Waco Holocaust Electronic Museum.

Thanks to Our Friends

Linda Thompson (April 26, 1953 - May 10, 2009), born Linda Capps, was a civil liberties attorney, a militia movement supporter, and one of the first to raise a public objection to the treatment of the Branch Davidians.

The Museum could not have been built, promoted, and perpetuated without enormous support from a wide range of friends and supporters, some of whom remain anonymous.  Linda Thompson was a courageous and energetic Indianapolis attorney who devoted her life and career to battling public wrongs, such as the murders of the Branch Davidians.

She produced two videos on the Waco Holocaust, currently available on the Internet: Waco, the Big Lie and Waco, the Big Lie Continues.

Linda was a friend of the Museum and the first to review and promote it.  When she read it for the first time, Linda, praised it with the words, "You've nailed it!"  Linda's tragic death is beautifully memorialized by her sister, Annette (cached).

Administrative Matters

The Museum is seeking echo sites throughout the world.  See the copyright notice in the Library.  The entire collection can be housed in approximately 20 Megabytes of disk space.  Downloading the entire Museum to a local platform is recommended for two reasons: First, some of the exhibits are large and will be more accessible on a local platform.  But more important, attempts may be made to suppress this website.  Download by individuals, organizations, and echo sites will help to ensure the survival of this information and the continuance of the Museum project.  Please see the Library for downloading.

Introduction to the Waco Holocaust Electronic Museum

The Waco Holocaust Electronic Museum consists of four galleries and several introductory pieces.  These pieces are:

  1. Send a message to the Museum Curator

Now, here are the Galleries:

War Gallery I. WAR

From February 28 to April 19, 1993, "Operation Trojan Horse" was a military action conducted with military or quasi-military personnel using military equipment and serving a military purpose.  It was war, not law enforcement.

Fire Gallery  II. FIRE

On Monday, April 19, 1993 (Patriot's Day), government forces drove military tanks into the complex, destroying the buildings.  The ruins caught fire and burned with unusual ferocity.  This was no ordinary house fire.

Death Gallery III. DEATH Warning: graphic and shocking

Investigation into questionable deaths should begin with the autopsies.  The Museum includes the complete set of autopsy reports.  They show that most of the Davidians had been dead long before the day of the fire.

Burial Gallery  IV. BURIAL

Multiple projects were designed to hide the awful truth of the Waco Holocaust.  The Museum examines some of them.

Library  V. LIBRARY

Since the Waco Holocaust, other resources have been collected in the Museum for students of those events. Some are referenced within the Gallery essays, others are simply shelved here for study.
